While the original KTM motorcycles, including their flagship models, are designed and engineered in Austria, there are also manufacturing facilities in India where certain models are produced. Bajaj has manufacturing facilities in India, and they produce KTM motorcycles for both the domestic Indian market as well as for export to various countries, including Europe.
The collaboration with Bajaj has allowed KTM to tap into Bajaj's manufacturing capabilities and benefit from cost-effective production in India. It has also helped KTM expand its market reach and increase production capacity. However, it's important to note that the core design and engineering of KTM motorcycles remain the responsibility of KTM in Austria.
